Renea Baker was born November 25, 1955, to the late William and Annie Baker in Scotland Neck, NC. He attended Scotland Neck high school and after graduation, served his Country as a member of the United States Army. Following his time in the Army, he moved to Washington, DC where he met and married the love of his life, Karen. Renea was a devout family man who lived a life that was full of love, kindness, and dedication to the people that mattered most to him. He never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone he met. He especially loved to grill & host gatherings. He was truly loved & respected by his family & community. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin grandsons, Shane Alexander Baker and Tyson Anthony Baker. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Karen Collins Baker; Son, Sean Baker (Taylor) of Upper Marlboro, MD; daughter, Tynesha Goforth (Michael) of Fort Washington, MD; three brothers, Melvin Staton, Tony Baker, and Michael Whitley; Five Sisters, Patricia Baker, Annette Smith, Faye Baker, Evelyn Arrington (Bill), and Lisa Hyman (Ed); one sister in law, Brenda Gregg; three grandchildren, Lyric, James, and Taj; his beloved dog, Max; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
