Richard George Merna

Richard George Mernaof Clinton,MD. On July 4, 2006 the beloved brother of Gerald F. (Dorothy) of Potomac Falls, Va, Robert P. of San Jose, CA, James E. (Suzanne) of Annapolis, MD and Vivian Rendes (AL) of Sun City West AZ, and many nieces and nephews.In his youth he was raised at two Catholic homes for Boys, St. Dominic's Convent, Blauvelt and St. Agnes Home and School for Boys, Sparkill, NY. Mr. Merna graduated from Tappan Zee High School in Piermont, NY. Mr. Merna served two tours in the U.S. Marine Corps, from 1953-1958 and 1961- 1962, including 15 months in Korea with the First Marine Division. Upon his discharge Richard attended the University of Maryland for 3 years and was a member of the Newman Club and the Economic Discussion Club.Richards' part-time and subsequent full-time employment included the U.S. Post Office Dept., Statler Hilton Hotel, Interstate Commerce Commission, and the Internal Revenue Service.
