Richard W. Wagner was born February 15, 1936 at his grandmother's house in Hodgeville, West Virginia six miles from Buckhannon to Ruth C. Karickhoff. Richard and family moved to Prince Georges County when he was five years old. He graduated from Suitland High School. After graduating, Richard joined the United States Air Force where he served for four years. While in the Air Force Richard was baptized into the Catholic Faith. Richard was united in marriage on July 4, 1964 to Adalgisa Ida Servilio. They were joined in marriage until her death on August 30, 1994. Richard worked and retired from General Electric. After his retirement he dedicated his life to serving Christ. Richard was a member of the Mt. Calvary Catholic Church for over 50 years. He served in numerous volunteer positions incluing the Parish Counsel, Usher, Greeter, Bereavement Committee, Food Pantry Worker, Church cleanup crew, Office Worker, etc. Richard worked at the church daily helping out in any way he could. Richard had a very large family. Everyone was either his son, daughter, aunt, uncle, or cousin. He accepted and loved everyone. Richard was a unique type of person who touched many hearts. He will be remebered as an extrordinary person. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Ida, mother and step-father Ruth and Harvey Woods. He leaves to mourn a host of adopted family especially his son Fr. Everett Pearson, daughter Diane (Andre) Harley, sister Merina (Jimmy) Jacobs and a host of relatives and friends. Richard was a kind, thoughtful and gentle man. He was very appreciative and would do anything he could to help anyone. He will be missed so much by everyone who knew him. He will forever remain in our hearts. God gave us an Angel. Richard earned his wings.
