Robert Lee AshbyRobert Lee Ashby, 84 of Upper Marlboro, Maryland died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Community Hospice of Washington, DC. He is the husband of twenty years of Catherine Ashby and the late Genevieve Ashby. He is survived by a daughter, Denise Talbert of Lothian, MD and two sons, Rolfe "Ed" Ashby of Mathias W.VA and Sean Ashby of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Grandfather of Rolfe "Eddy" Ashby, Jr., Erin Talbert, Leanne Ashby and Cailin Talbert and great grandfather of five.He lived in Upper Marlboro since 1986 and retired from C&P Telephone Company of Maryland as a PBX installer. He is a member of the Largo Community Church, Communication Workers of America and Bell Pioneers and the Masonic Order ( family didnt know lodge number). He enjoyed tinkering and fixing anything broken and gardening. He had received awards from the community for his yard and landscape work.Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at the Lee Funeral Home, 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. Owings, MD.
