ROBERT LLOYD BARGE, SR. "BRUNO" (AGE 74) Robert Lloyd Barge, Sr. was born to William and Sarah Barge in Fayetteville, North Carolina as the middle child of three sons (William Jr, Robert Lloyd and David Alton) on November 26, 1933. A few years late, Sarah passed on and the family moved to Washington, DC where Robert attended Shaw Jr. High and graduated from Cardozo High School in January 1952. During high school, Robert competed on the football and swimming teams.Robert married Barbara Scott soon after high school and from that marriage, Robert Jr. (Karen) and Rhonda Lynn (Richard) were born. The marriage ended in divorce and Robert continued to hack for the Washington, DC Taxicab Commission.Robert married Dorothy Jean in 1964, and to this union, one loving and very devoted son, Victor Ryan. During this happy marriage, Robert worked for the U.S. Postal Service and the Government Printing Office, both for a brief time. He also graduated from Cortez Peters School of Business. Robert has continuously remained a taxi driver for over 50 years in the Washington, DC area. He also loved the game of poker with his taxi friends. He loved to fish and had many a fish story to tell to all.Robert and Jean opened a small business, The Seafood Barge. The Barge brothers/fathers and their sons worked side by side and loved every minute of it in the Adams-Morgan area of Washington, DC.Robert Barge leaves behind his three children (Robert Jr, Rhonda, and Victor), five grandchildren(Miki, Milton Jr, Brian, Tiana, and Ethan) and four great- grandchildren(Kelli [Miki], Justin [Milton], Evan[Milton], Sariah Jae\\' [Tiana]. He will be greatly missed by his only surviving brother David, and the many cousins that have remained steadfast in our family reunions and gatherings.
