Robert Elliott Bean, III “REB” of Clinton, MD died suddenly on September 11, 2016 at the age of 64. Born in Washington, DC he is the son of the late Catherine V. Miller Bean and Robert E. Bean. REB spent most of his life in Clinton. He graduated Class of 1969 from Surrattsville High School. In 1971, REB entered the US Army and achieved the rank of SP4 and was educated as a traffic analyst. His final assignment was in Augsburg, Germany. He was honorably discharged after 3 years of duty, decorated with the National Defense Service Medal. He was on standby with the US Army Reserves until 1977. Following his service to his country, REB was an Assistant Golf Professional at Andrews AFB. Subsequently REB was the owner of REB’s Fireplace Lounge in Waldorf, MD. Afterwards, REB was the head Golf Pro at Wicomico Shores. He later went on to work in automotive sales and finance until his retirement. Beloved Father of Robert E. Bean, IV of Clinton, MD and former husband of Deborah Trimble-Bean of Burlington, NC. He will be greatly missed by four-legged best friend, “Beany”.
