Ennis, Robert TaylorRobert T. Ennis of Port Republic, Maryland, formerly of Fort Washington, Maryland, died on Saturday, June 8, 2001. Mr. Ennis was a Senior Manager supporting NASA programs for Computer Sciences Corportation (CSC) in Greenbelt, Maryland. He had a total of 35 years service with CSC.From 1979-80, Bob Ennis served as Director of Central Services for Prince George's County, Maryland, and served as Acting Chief Administrative Officer for Prince George's County Executive Lawrence J. Hogan in 1978. Some of his other community and political involvement included serving as member of the Prince George's Republican Central Committee from 1973 to 1978, and as its chair from 1974-76; serving as a district coordinator on the Citizens for Charter government in Prince George's County in 1970 and served as a member of the Town Council for the town of Capitol Heights in 1967-68. In addition, Bob Ennis was a founding member of the Southern Prince George's Republican Club (SPGR) in 1970 and was elected as its President 1971 and 1972. During his tenure as President of SPGR, Mr. Ennis established the Robert A. Yost Award for Outstanding Service to the Republican Party in Prince George's County.Mr. Ennis earned a B.S. degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland in 1966, and was a 1956 graduate of Suitland High School.He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Guilded Misselman from 1959-63, including two years of aboard the USS Proteus AS19 in the Holy Loch, Scotland in the early of the Polaris Progam.Mr. Ennis is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ella E. Ennis, a daughter, Robyn E. Riddle, and a sister, Florence E. Riedesel. He was the son of the late Robert E. Ennis and Blanche L.
