It is with deep sorrow that the family and friends of Robert M. Goforth are mourning the loss of their beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Robert passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024, at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery located in Blacksburg, Virginia. He is survived by his three children Michael R. Bernadette and Steven A. Goforth. He is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother Andrew Jackson, Jr. (Bernice), 3 nephews 1 niece, and a close family relation Anthony Ford-Bey. Robert is preceded in death by his cherished and devoted wife Gwendolyn, his parents Leonard E. Goforth, Beatrice M. and the Rev. Andrew Jackson, Sr., sister Amelia Jackson and brother Arter L. Jackson. The late Mr. Goforth will be funeralized on December 19, 2024, at the Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, MD. A one-hour viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with services to follow. Any expressions of love are to be donated to the American Diabetes Association.
