Robert Paul Greenwell, Jr

Robert Paul Greenwell, Jr, 98 years old, passed away peacefully at his home in Suitland, Maryland, on Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was born on December 16, 1922, in Leonardtown, Maryland. Robert was a World War II Veteran, serving in the US Army. He was wounded in combat. He received a Purple Heart Medal and was honorably discharged in 1946. After serving in the Army Robert became an auto parts sales manager. He married Mildred Jean Jones in 1947 and they had one child, Linda Ann. Robert was happiest when he was on his boat, "Millie G", fishing, picking crabs, and spending time with his family and telling old war stories. Robert and Mildred enjoyed spending many winter seasons in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Ellen Greenwell and his father, Robert Paul Greenwell, Sr., his daughter, Linda Ann Schlueter and great grandson, Trent Kohleffel. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Greenwell, son-in-law, Jeffrey Schlueter, three granddaughters, Jacqueline (Paul) Kohleffel, Angela (Crispin) Delle, and and Kristina Schlueter, and four great-grandchildren, Trey and Wes Kohleffel, and Crispin and Theodore Delle.
