Robert A. Gregory

Robert A. Gregory, a longtime Oxford, NC farmer, passed peacefully on May 1, 2014 at the age of 93.Born in Stovall, NC, a small town in Granville County, Robert stayed in NC where he put down roots in the rural Oxford community and began his life as a farmer and grower of agriculture. Born December 28, 1920, Robert was the son of the late Mattie (Bullock) and Charlie Gregory. He was married for 37 years to his wife, Helen Rose (Hargrove) Gregory, who predeceased him on February 9, 1987.Robert loved to fish and enjoyed the simple, peaceful life in Oxford. He moved here in 2002 to be closer to his family after the death of his beloved wife.He is survived by his loving daughter, Mattie Lee Fisher (Francis) of Lanham, MD; his devoted grandchildren, Regina Duckett (Sterling) of Sicklerville, NJ, Arvell McGhee Jr. of St. Mary's MD, Michele L.
