Robert Jones

Robert "Bobby" Myron Jones (73) of Camp Springs, MD passed away on July 12, 2019. Bobby was born in Washington DC on May 28, 1946 to Florence Irene Elizabeth Jones and Francis Myron Jones. He was a retired Operations Engineer. In addition to his family and friends, Bobby enjoyed motorcycles, boating, fishing, guns, tinkering with his Camaro, the Washington Redskins, NASCAR and the company of his beloved cat, Kit. He was a walking encyclopedia, constantly learning new information and sharing it. He recently discovered Amazon Prime and loved to shop! He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gayle Jones, and his sister Kay Trayband. He was the father of the late Dawn Stephens (John), Catherine "Carrie" Stewart (Wes) and Shannon Safewright (Timmy). He was a loving grandfather to Lisa Stephens, Steven Stewart, Nathan Stephens (Lyndsey), Tyler Stewart, Zackary Stephens, Anthony Safewright, twins Tawnee and Shawnee Safewright and Vincent Deavers. Bobby also leaves behind many dear nieces, nephews, friends and family members. The family invites family and friends to Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd, Clinton, MD 20735 on Saturday July 20,2019 for a Visitation from 12-1, and the Memorial Service starting at 1.
