Robert F. Kramer\n \nDied peacefully in Conway, SC on February 24, 2011. He was surrounded by all five of his children. Robert was born in the Anacostia section of Washington, DC on January 8, 1937. He was born the 8th of 9 children. At the age of 17, he began working for the Washington Gas Light Company and held this one job until he retired at the age of 55. in July 1957, he married Margaret Josephine DeBord. They were married for 26 years. They raised their children in District Heights, MD for 30 years. He retired to Calabash, NC. While in Calabash, he enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren. After many years of raising his own children, he found a new sense of joy in seeing his eight grandchildren grow into adults as well. His favorite pastimes were traveling, Redskin games, and Nascar races.\n \nRobert is survived by his sister Margaret Kramer of Lothian, MD and his brother Raymond Kramer of Calabash, NC; his loving children Tiani Mattus and husband Joe of Manhattan, NY; Margaret Powers and husband Mickey of Lothian, MD; Roberta Swengel and husband Alan of Laurel, MD; Ron Kramer and wife Deana of Kings Mountain, NC; and Angela Farmer and husband George of Brandywine, MD and his eight grandchildren Amanda, Erin, Brynne, Phillip, Ryan, Christopher, Marissa, and Matthew.\n \nIn lieu of flowers, the family would rather request a donation made in Roberts name to Mercy Care Hospice, 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 or online at mercyhospice.org/donations.
