It is with great sadness, the family of Robert Lawrence “Bobby” Moats, 57, of Lothian Maryland, announces that Bobby passed on December 11, 2020. Bobby was born on April 19, 1963 in Washington, D.C. to Robert Lee and Nola Kathleen Moats. He graduated Gwynn Park High School in Clinton Maryland, and then enjoyed his career as an electrician with Local 26. Bobby loved the outdoors and spent most of his free time hunting, fishing, and crabbing. Everyone knows Bobby was always wearing a John Deere or camouflage hat while equipped with a Bud Light and Levi Garrett. He was known for his smile, infectious personality, and his kind, giving spirit. Let’s not forget, Bobby appreciated the occasional inappropriate joke. Bobby is survived by his parents Robert and Kathleen Moats, daughter Rachael Trigg, son-in-law Marshall, granddaughter, Mackinlee, sister, Laura McKenzie and her family. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 PM. A celebration of life honoring Bobby will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to The National Rifle Association Foundation, 11250 Waples Mill Rd Fairfax, VA 22030. NEW GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING VISITATION / SERVICES. - 50 to 75 people max at any given time in Funeral Home. - Limit visitation to 15 minutes in visitation room to allow for others to express their condolences. - Funeral Services in Chapel limited to 70 people with four (4) people per pew. - Masks and six foot social distancing still applies.
