Robin Ann Elmore “Nana”, of Lothian, MD passed on January 9, 2019 at the age of 76. Born in Latrobe, PA the daughter of Ruth Elizabeth Malia and Charles Robinson Cunliffe. Robin grew up in Ligonier, PA where she attended and graduated from Ligonier Valley High School, Class of 1960. After high School, Robin attended Latrobe Beauty Academy and became licensed in styling and teaching. Robin was also licensed to practice and teach in Illinois. Robin eventually moved to Washington, DC where she met her husband, Jewell, on a DC Transit bus. After a brief courtship, they were married and settled in the Forestville area. In addition to raising her two sons, she worked for many years processing real estate settlements for local attorneys. Robin was always a happy, good-natured person who was a mother to all. She enjoyed surfing the internet, gardening, and crocheting. She was extremely math oriented and loved doing crosswords, word games and puzzles. Most of all, Robin enjoyed taking care of her husband and two sons. She also loved her many cats and dogs. In addition to her parents, and beloved husband Marvin Jewell and son, James Edward, she is also predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Levri and Joan Raymond. She is survived by her son Michael Elmore of Lothian, MD, sister Mary Wallace and her husband Richard Wallace of Greensburg, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
