Our beloved Rodney was called home to the Lord on the evening of November 13, 2021, in Arlington, Virginia. At the age of 56. He was surrounded by family members and loved ones. Rodney Howard Wilson was born on March 11, 1965, in Washington, DC. Rodney is survived by his wife of 15 years Jennifer Wilson, his dear mother Sue Andrews, his daughter Jazmine Jones, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and life-long friends. Rodney is preceded in death by his father Howard Wilson. Rodney was a proud graduate from Duke Ellington School of Arts where he studied artistry. He had a passion for taking photos and videos. He loved his job as Captain of Security of the Democratic National Committee was the joy that would get him up every morning. Rodney represented his badge well as he served impressive D.C. occurrences like the Black Caucus and securing and meeting Former President, Barack Obama. During his down time, Rodney loved to relax at home, feast at Red Lobster, enjoy the casinos and watch Netflix. If he wasn’t relaxing with his feet up, he would go to the stores to shop the latest Apple electronics. Same with his cars, Rodney loved to make sure his car game was unmatched, and he kept every car he owned immaculate. With an impeccable sense of humor, Rodney would light any room up with laughter. We will all cherish and continue to laugh and smile. The family of Rodney Wilson would like to thank everyone for your outreach of support and sympathy during this difficult time.
