Ronald Lake Carroll, a lifelong resident of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on January 4, 2020 at Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital Center surrounded by his loving family. Born May 24, 1954 at Providence Hospital, Washington, D.C. he was the Son of the late Harry S. Carroll, Jr. and Nellie Mae (Duley) Carroll. After his marriage to Beth in October 1977 they built their home together on family property where they raised their 3 children. He retired after 30 years of service from General Service Administration as a Building Manager in 2011. He became a grandfather at the same time and he relished his new title of Granddad. He was a passionate car enthusiast from the time he was a young boy. He was a modest man with an abundance of skills which he used to help others. The only thing he ever boasted about was his family. He always said his greatest accomplishment in life was his family. Ronnie leaves behind his loving wife Beth, daughter Shelly Lynn Thompson and his son-in-law Barry, His two son’s David Lake Carroll and Robbie Lee Carroll, granddaughters, Lilyanna, Violet and Lucy. Ronnie is also survived by his sister Jane James and her husband Jesse James. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd, Clinton, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Rodolfo Salinas on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 9961 Rosaryville Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD. followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
