Ronald Joseph Moody, known as “Ducey” was born on March 27, 1960, in Washington, DC, and passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and MacAlfred Moody, as well as his brothers Malcom and James.
He is survived by his daughters Tongia McKoy (Vaughn) and Ronisha Moody; his grand-children, Kayla and Cyrus Collins; his devoted and loving sister Vanessa Almeida; his brothers, Henry, Mack, and Michael (Kim); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ronald attended Kimball Elementary School and Woodson Junior High School before enlisting in the United States Army in August of 1980. During his service, he earned his G.E.D. and developed a wide range of skills. He was Honorably Discharged in August 1983.
Throughout his life, Ronald held various positions, including working as a Security Officer at the Smithsonian Museum and as a guard at Lorton Reformatory. He later started his own LLC, running a dump truck and trash services business, and ultimately retired from the DC Department of Public Works.
His memory will be honored and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
