Rose Margaret Sparrow, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2021 in Waldorf, Maryland. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to Nicholas and Rose (Mazza) Di Sabella. She was the 8th of nine children. After graduating from high school in 1943, she relocated to Washington, DC to work as a secretary for the FBI for ten years. This is where she met the love of her life Frederick G. Sparrow. They were married on September 12, 1953. They had three children Lisa Marie, John Anthony and Suzanne Louise. She became a stay-at-home mom. She devoted her life to her family. They were her entire world. Rose loved gardening, crafts, puzzles, baking and feeding people. She was very active in the Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus. She was the recess yard mother at Holy Family Catholic School for many years and was loved by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frederick G. Sparrow; her sisters: Grace Tozzolino, Nicolene Di Sabella, and Elizabeth Wendel; her brothers: Peter Di Sabella, Carlos Di Sabella, Joseph Di Sabella, and Matthew Di Sabella. Left to cherish her memories are her three children Lisa Marie Sparrow, John Anthony Sparrow and Suzanne Louise Sparrow; daughter-in-law Donna Sparrow; grandchildren Anthony Ryan Sparrow (Jaime) and Amanda Christine Rourke (Corey); great-grandchildren Jackson Wade Rourke, Jase Anthony Rourke, Jett Michael Rourke, Paisley Rae Sparrow and Brooklyn Shay Sparrow; brother Anthony Di Sabella; and many loving nieces and nephews.
