Rosemary Washington

Rosemary quietly departed this life on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at age 81. She was born in Michigan to the late Luther and Dorothy Rogan. Rosemary briefly worked at a local nursing home shortly after graduating from high school. Not long afterwards, she got married and quickly assumed the role of domestic engineer where she enjoyed traveling with her husband to his various assignments where he served in the United States Air Force. Rosemary was known for her down-home cooking and desserts. She enjoyed vacationing on cruises with friends and family. She was the life of the party and enjoyed entertaining, cooking, sewing, gardening, and dancing. Rosemary leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Herman, two daughters Joyce Abernathy (Gary) and Cathy Mitchell (James), one sister and two brothers, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by a host of friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her son William, grandson Calvin, three sisters and four brothers.
