Ross Alexander CovingtonRoss A. Covington, 78, died on Saturday, December 24th, 2005 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick. Ross was born on August 26, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland. Ross is survived by his beloved wife, Doris L. Covington, step-son, Frank Lindner, step-daughters, Carol (Ed) Healey and Deborah (Terry) Rice and sisters, Nancy Baker and Eileen Radtke. He is also survived by a host of family and friends. Ross grew up in District Heights, Maryland. He served his country in the US Army earning the Army Occupation Metal of Japan and the World War II Victory Medal. Ross worked as an Engineer Technician at the National Research Lab (NRL) in Washington, DC, retiring after 34 years. Ross hobbies included gardening, fishing and the gift of building things in his workshop.Family will receive friends at the Lee Funeral Home Calvert, P.A., 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Route 4 & Fowler Rd), Owings, Maryland on Thursday, December 29th from 2 to 4 pm & 6 pm until a service at 8 pm. Interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Friday, December 30th at 10 am.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #206, P.O.
