Take me home, Country Road... On, Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, Ruby Mae Grainger peacefully and quietly slipped out of this life at her beautiful home in Clinton, MD. Ruby was and is a wonderful and gracious spirit who cared deeply for her 6 siblings; sisters Maggie, Bobbie and Frankie, and brothers Billy Joe, Junior and Jackie. She was more a mother to them than an older sister. Ruby came to the Washington area from her home in West Virginia 5 decades ago and worked for the National Credit Union Administration for the majority of her career. After retiring in 1996 she spent her time caring for her beloved Bichon Frises, "the boys", Petey and Truman; caring for all animals that showed up at her home, enjoying nature, travelling with her family and take care of her beautiful home. Ruby leaves behind her biggest fan and niece, Cathy Church, her sister Bobbie Keefe, brother Jackie Church, sister-in-laws Helen Faye Church and Frances Church, brother-in-law Neil Keefe and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.\n A small memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wed, Oct 27, 2010 in St. Thomas Church in Croom, MD.
