Ruth E. Jones

Ruth E. Jones 1933 - 2013 Ruth E. Jones, 80, of Clinton, MD on Wednesday December 18, 2013 at Fort Washington Medical Center, Fort Washington, MD. Born in Darlington, SC Ruth was a daughter of the late George and Johnnie (Gardner) Ellis. She was employed as a contract specialist for the Federal Government, having worked for NASA, DOD, and the FAA. Ruth was very active in her church in Bible Study, Sunday school, The Pastor's Aid Ministry, The Woman's Ministry, and The Mass Choir. She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She enjoyed jig saw puzzles, exercising, bowling, traveling, eating (IHOP), and spending time with her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister Almerta Nettles, nieces Jacquelin Eaton (Lynwood) and Johnnie Dowdell, a nephew Cleveland Mosby (Spencer), sisters-in-law Beatrice and Lillian Ellis, and a host of other relatives and friends including Cora Davis, Mattie Townsend, Patricia Brooks, Algeria "Gerry" Tate, Mae Pickett, Douglas Pollock, and Cynthia Peay.
