Ruth Fay Smith

Ruth Fay Smith, 92, of Cheltenham, MD, affectionately known by her friends as "Flo" and "Loose Lips" (because she couldn't keep a secret), passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018. Ruth survived two husbands; the late Earl E. Smith and the late Charles S "Tommy" Thomason Sr. She is the loving mother of Joanne Matheny of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Sandra Jean Thomason of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; preceded in death by her sons George B. Thomason and Charles S. "Tommy" Thomason, Jr., as well as her sister Eileen Murray. Loving grandmother of Michael Menard, James Menard and Kimberly Karp. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren. Ruth was a strong woman who never let anyone tell her what to do and always did things "her way." Ruth enjoyed shopping, eating out, bingo and casinos.
