Ryan Jesse Purvis "Purple" (Age 14)On Friday, November 9, 2007, Ryan Jesse Purvis "Purple", 14, died at University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Ryan was born on October 22, 1993 at Greater Southeast Hospital in Washington, D.C. He is survived by his parents Robert and Susan Purvis; sister, Emma Margaret, grandparents , Lorna Jesse Purvis of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Gail Jones of Dallas, Texas and Joseph Edward Jones, Jr. of Arlington, Virginia.Ryan is predeceased by his sister, Alyson Michelle Purvis and grandfather, George Nicholas Purvis, Jr.Ryan spent his childhood in Upper Marlboro, MD before moving to Chesapeake Beach, MD, three years ago. Before moving to Calvert County, Ryan with his sister Aly, attended Awana at Fellowship Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro, MD. He also participated in the Marlton Rec. & Swim Club and was a member of the Cub Scouts of America. Ryan also played the clarinet in elementary school.Ryan was a freshman at Northern High School in Owings, MD. He is remembered as a quick witted jokester by family and friends. He had a love for soccer, street hockey, football, basketball, and video gaming especially playing HALO 3. His other hobbies included hanging out with friends, listening to music and enjoying sophomoric humor. Family will receive friends at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, CALVERT, P.A., 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Rte 4 & Fowler Rd.) Owings, MD on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 9 pm. Service will be held at Chesapeake Church, 6201 Solomons Island Rd., Huntingtown, MD on Thursday, November 15th at 11 am. Interment Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens, Port Republic, MD.
