Salvatore PuleoSalvatore T. Puleo, age 84 of Prince Frederick, Maryland died Monday, August 22, 2005 at the University Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. He is the loving father of Dianne Bass, Richard Puleo, Deborah Cabe, Frederick Puleo, Michael Puleo and adopted son Robert Puleo. He is also survived by his longtime companion Betty Hodges two brothers, Vincent and John Puleo, three sisters, Grace Waters, Anna Brucha and Polly Trescatti, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 105 Vianney Lane, Prince Frederick, Maryland with the Reverend Peter Daly officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.Formerly of Bowie, Maryland Mr. Puleo moved to Calvert County in 1984. He was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Prince Frederick and worked in many of the church ministries. He was also active in the Cursillo movement. Mr. Puleo was a Certified Life Underwriter with Life of Virginia, retired, went to work for the WSSC and retired. He served in the US Navy 1941- 1947 serving in the Asian Pacific Theater on seven different vessels and represented his ships as a pugilist. His hobbies included boxing, collecting sharks teeth from local site in Calvert County, donating some specimens to local museums, gardening, cooking, football, tall ships and playing cards. He was a member of the V.F.W., Knights of Columbus, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
