Salvatore (Tory) Galeano, Jr., of Upper Marlboro, MD, went to be with his Lord on September 16, 2020 at the age of 66 after a long struggle with cancer. Tory was born in Washington D.C. in 1954 to Audrey and Salvatore Galeano. He graduated from Suitland High School and went to work for the Arlington County, VA., Fire Department. He retired after 28 years of service as a fire fighter/paramedic. After retirement from the fire department he worked as the facility manager for First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro for 14 years. Tory loved His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That love was also displayed in his life as he sought opportunities to help others both in his occupations and in his personal life. He enjoyed music and played the guitar and several other instruments. He enjoyed canoeing and kayaking and was a prolific reader. Tory was a lifelong member of the Baptist church where he served as deacon and Bible study teacher for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Tory is survived by his wife Susan; his two daughters Amanda Beall and Larissa Viccary; sons-in-law J. Dustin Beall and Jonathan Viccary; 8 grandchildren; his sisters Dolores Peltier, Deborah Cochrane, brother-in-law John Cochrane, and brother Mark Galeano. The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:30 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746. NEW GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING VISITATION / SERVICES. - 50 to 75 people max at any given time in Funeral Home. - Limit visitation to 15 minutes in visitation room to allow for others to express their condolences. - Funeral Services in Chapel limited to 70 people with four (4) people per pew. - Masks and six-foot social distancing still applies.
