Samuel L. Carter Sr.

Samuel L. Carter, Sr. was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at Home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He was born on September 9, 1956 to the late Samuel O. and Willie Ruth Carter. He was educated in the District of Columbia school system. After School, he pursued a career in the Restaurant Industry as a Manager at Author Treacher’s where he met and married his first wife for 24 years until her death Sandra Carter. Later he worked for Raytheon Systems where he met his wife of 14 years Dawn Carter. Sam became a loyal dedicated member of the Prince Hall Masonic brotherhood, Tuwa temple and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He served on the Usher Board at First Baptist Church of Glenarden. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Dawn Carter, three children; Min. Samuel Carter Jr. (Adrienne), Sonja Carter (Mike), and Alex Doyle, two grandchildren; Messiah Carter Harrison, Raigan Dalton, two siblings; J’ne Carter, Ronald Carter, one nephew; Andre’ Carter Allen (great niece, great nephew) and a host of other relatives and friends To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Samuel L.
