Samy Tchassem Tcheuffa

Airman First Class,

Prince of the Balembo and the Banka Kingdoms in Bafang, Cameroon,

age 20, passed away December 13th, 2022,
while stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington.

In 2020, Samy graduated from Oxon Hill High School, Maryland where he played in the
Basketball team. He enrolled in the Air Force and successfully graduated from bootcamp in May
2022, from technical school in October 2022, and was assigned to Fairchild. He was very proud
of his service with the AF, as a Network Systems Operator for the 92nd Communications
Squadron, maintaining the base’s computer network, supporting the largest KC-135 tanker
wing. He held a Python Certified Associate Programmer and a Security+ certifications.
Samy is survived by his Wife, Luna and Daughter Zolani Tcheuffa;
Mother Lucie and Stepfather Michael Lavarn;
Stepmother Caro and Father Serge Tcheuffa,
Multiple siblings and large families.
When asked how he felt after Zolani’s birth, Samy replied “I feel complete”. He was a
doting husband who prior to the Air Force did Uber and any overtime work to take care of his
wife. He was also a loving dad who held his daughter and took care of her all day and night
when he was at home, only allowing his wife to handle the baby for breastfeeding.
As a new Husband and Father, he was excited for the adventures to come.
Viewing will be on December 23rd, 2022, 12pm-2pm, at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old
Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
The funeral will take place on January 13th, 2023.

• Burial with military honors, 2:30pm, at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain
Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20603
• Repass immediately after the burial, back to Calvary Gospel Church (address above)
