Sharon S Buckley

May 19, 1944 — November 6, 2013

Sharon S. Buckley Sharon S. Buckley of Ft. Washington, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Washington, D.C. at the age of 69. She was born in Washington, DC on May 19, 1944 to Henry and Genevieve (Noyes) Scheible. She was the beloved wife of William J. Buckley and the mother of Anne Cooper, Theresa Ray and William H. Buckley. She is also survived by other relatives, including her granddaughter Morgan Cooper, sister-in-law Dolores Buckley, brother Mike Scheible and his wife Judy Scheible, nephews Jimmy and Danny Scheible, cousin Parma Snyder and her husband Dick Snyder, and cousin John Campe and his wife Donna Campe. She was a resident of Ft. Washington for over 45 years and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Sharon loved the simple things in life – watching the birds in her backyard, reading and British television series such as Downton Abbey. With an enormous capacity for kindness for everyone she encountered, Sharon put her family, friends, neighbors and those less fortunate than her above and before herself in all things. She was loved by many, a love she was likely never fully aware of due to her unfaltering humility. Our love will not diminish with her passing, but will only continue to grow. We were greatly blessed to have her in our lives. Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Service will be held on Thursday, November 14 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery located at 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD.
