Shawn Price

We are here today to celebrate the life of Shawn Price, a remarkable 

and memorable person who touched the lives of so many. We remember       

him with love and an unwavering appreciation for the incredible person           

he was.               

Shawn Price WCIS born in Washington, D.C. on November 23, l 979 to              

Marie Price and the late Alfonso Price, He was only 44 years old when he        

passed away on March 24, 2024.           

He grew up in Hillcrest Heights, Temple Hills, and Fort Washington, MD.          

He attended and graduated from Crossland High School in Camp       

Springs, MD in l 998, While there, he learned how to do brick masonry              

work. During the summer of l 997, he was employed at Maryland        

National Capital Park and Planning,     

In 2001, Shawn became a Correctional Officer with the Prince Georges          

County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD. While       

employed there, he held the rank of Master Corporal, He was very      

knowledgeable of every post assignment inside and outside of the     

facility. He WCIS Cl member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). He was              

o hard worker and was always a joy to be around. He enjoyed travelling. ,        

He had a passion for cars, including old school cars which he owned one.      

Shown had the ability to make others feel valued and cherished through         

his genuine concern. He was reliable and could always be counted on             

when times were tough or when someone needed o listening ear. Shawn        

loved his family and his family loved him. To know him was to love him, He     

was always helping those in need, He had an infectious laugh and his              

smile lit up any room he WCIS in,          

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marie Price; brother, Bryant       

(Kiyonna); niece, Brynae West; great nieces, Lee Lennon and Lay Lay

West; and great nephew, Lake West; and a host of aunts, uncles and 

cousins and many friends.
