Shayla J. “Sha-Sha” Thompson, 17,\n \n \n \n Of White Plains, MD died in Monday October 3, 2011 at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, DC. Born in Clinton, MD, she was a daughter of Arlice C. Carey and Donnie L. Thompson. Shayla was a student at Westlake High School in Waldorf, MD., where she was active in the Art Department enjoying character animation and graphic arts. She had dreams of attending art school after graduation from Westlake.\n \n \n \nShayla is survived by her parents, a twin sister Makayla and a younger sister Sahsha. She also leaves behind her maternal grandparents Carolyn Carey and Robert Carey and her paternal grandparents Linda and Julian Thompson\n \n \n \nFuneral services will be held at Mt. Ennon Baptist Church, 9832 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD on Tuesday October 11, 2011 at 11:00AM officiated by Rev. Smith. A visitation will precede the service from 10:00AM – 11:00AM in the church. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA
