Sherry Ann Rizarri (Apperson) was born May 8, 1960, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to Don C. Apperson, Sr., and Mary L. Apperson (Miller). She passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021, at Hospice of the Chesapeake, with family members at her side. Sherry was employed by the Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff at the time of her passing. She had previously resided in South Rockwood, Michigan; Roanoke, Virginia; Houston, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; and Miami, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Apperson; brothers Don C. “Joe” Apperson, Jr., Jay Cee “Jake” Apperson, Dempsey C. Apperson, and Edgar L. Apperson, sister Dixie Lee Jones, and nephew Richard Apperson. She is survived by her sisters Ada L. Talbert, Donna J. Miller, Deanna S. Labo (Brian), and Miriam J. Wrenn (Charles); nieces Patricia Apperson, Rhea Yap (Pele), Renae Jones, Tara Tunnell, Amber Miller, Destiny Pardo, Stacey Lawson (Tim), Renee Apperson, Manesa Jones, Stefanie Apperson, Lisa Castellese (Brad), and nephews James Miller, Jr. (Candace), Dwayne Miller (Cindy), Lance Miller (Amber), Brian Labo, Jr., Russ Labo, Kevin Labo, Alex Labo, Billy Joe Apperson, Daniel Apperson (Angie), Trevor Jones, Keith Jones, Eric Apperson, Matthew Apperson, John Apperson, Jr., Andrew Wrenn (Hannah) and Aurelia Wrenn; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and great nephews and nieces. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Lee Funeral Home, Inc., 6633 OId Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton, MD, 20735, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, MD 20735.
