Shirley Jeannette Barker-Benincasa, 86, passed away in her sleep with her family consoling her on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Daughter of the late William Cephes and Olive Kendrick Barker Survived by loving husband Dr. Vincent Benincasa DDS, beloved mother of Emilia Ann Benincasa-Ferri, Natalie Marie Benincasa-Powell, Joseph Gregory Benincasa; Caring sister of Audrey Thurman, Grand children: Brianna Simmons, Tiffany Natalie Marie Benincasa-Powell, Antonia Marie Benincasa-Ferri. Great grandchildren: Shaun Simmons, and Brandon Simmons Survived by a host of family and close friends Predeceased by her Grandson, Geoffrey Luke Ferri Jr., Son-in-law, Geoffrey Luke Ferri, and son-in-law, Russell Steven Powell. A viewing will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735 and then on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 10 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church, 8908 Old Branch Ave, Clinton, MD 20735.
