Shirley (Nicholson) Clark, 83, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Callaway, Maryland. She was born on March 14, 1934 in Washington, DC. Shirley grew up in Washington, DC. She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, DC in 1949. She met her future husband Robert Clark in Washington, DC and they were married on May 24, 1952. They were married for 48 wonderful years. They moved to Alabama while Robert was in the Army but moved back to the area and started their family. She was the hidden talent behind Big Bob’s famous crab dip. She was so proud of her children and very proud of all her grandchildren. She loved listening to Elvis Presley and enjoyed watching any Sci fi tv shows. She enjoyed playing cards and also loved her trips with her sister in law, Kay Clark to Dover Downs Casino. Shirley is survived by her children Steve Clark (Nancy) of Dekalb, IL, Debra Harder of Brandywine, MD, Donald Clark of Mechanicsville, MD and Greg Clark (Kathy) of Mechanicsville, MD; Her grandchildren Jennifer Dennis (Greg) of Murphy, NC, Travis Clark and Tory Clark of Colorado; Melissa Clark and Michelle Clark of Florida, Amanda Finch (Randy) of Brandywine, MD, Shane Clark of Chicago, IL and Jesse Clark of Dekalb, IL, Robert Clark and Sara Clark of Mechanicsville, MD; Her great grandchildren Tallan Clark and Cadence Clark of Colorado. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clark, son Thomas Clark, and her sister Carol Beck. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to The American Heart Association and/or The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
