Upper Marlboro

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Siomara Tirado Rivera (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 50.

Siomara Tirado Rivera was born to Myrna Rivera and Maximino Tirado Lugo on September 19, 1973, in Manhattan, New York. She would be cared for by her grandmother Isaura Figueroa Santana in her early years while living in Boquerón, Puerto Rico with her younger sister, Betzaida Santana Rivera. Siomara's journey would take her back to New York City to live in the Bronx with her aunt, Alba Iris Moreno and uncle Joseph "Tony" Moreno. She later moved to Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where her journey would meet its end while in the loving care of her sister, Betzaida Santana Rivera, her brother-in-law Sean Bbb, and niece Ariana Jewel Santana. She also leaves behind her fur son Pepe Rivera, whom she adored and her cousin, Maribel Garcia Rivera, who she would grow up closely with. Siomara was a lover of music and always found a way to move with it the best she could. She also enjoyed creating art and would gift her projects to the ones she loved. She was a beautiful soul who brought light and laughter to those who crossed her path. In addition to her mother and grandmother, Siomara was also preceded in death by her aunts Jannette Rivera Figueroa and Dennise Rivera Figueroa and uncle Julio Rivera Figueroa. She leaves a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memory.

A service will be held in her honor on September 29, 2023 at 10am St. Mary of the Assumption in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Flowers as well as donations may be made to the church.
