Stella E. Mongeon

Stella Elizabeth Mongeon, of Brandywine, MD passed peacefully on May 2, 2018 at the age of 75. Born in Washington, DC to Marian (Ridgeway) Beach and Robert Beach. Stella’s life could be summarized in one word; family. She met her husband Bob in 1961 after her brother introduced them. Little did they realize then that their loving courtship would continue for 57 years. Wherever you saw Bob, you know that Stella wouldn’t be far away. Their tight-knit relationship gave them a loving marriage that continued until the very end. Married in 1963, they celebrated 54 years of marriage this year. Stella worked as a porter for various rental apartments over the years, retiring in 2007 when her health started to decline. She was a very independent, loving, caring, and was devoted to her family. She had the sweetest soul, however, when she spoke everyone listened. She was known as the “rock” of her family with her stubborn and spunky nature. Stella was not a woman tied to material things; family was always first. She loved fishing, bowling, watching tv, and playing cards (especially Rummy and Uno). She managed to capture the hearts of her family. During her final days, they made her comfortable and loved. She will be missed by all. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Mongeon; Devoted mother of Robert Mongeon Jr. and his wife Becky Mongeon, Tina Mongeon, Crystal Cameron all of Brandywine, MD. Also survived by 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Stella was also pre-deceased by 2 of her children, the late Chickie Beach and the late Tammy Wesse.
