Stephen E. Showalter

Stephen E. Showalter of Forestville, MD, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the age of 75. He was born on March 22, 1940, in Washington, DC to the late Frances Coates Showalter. In 2005, he retired after 30 years in sales with Aireco Supply Company. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Army. Stephen’s most enjoyable times were with his family. They were the center of his life. He was active in the Worship Ministry at Riverdale Baptist Church. He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes, duck pin bowling and he loved animals. Stephen was the beloved husband to Joanne (Gentile) Showalter for nearly 47 years. He was the beloved father to Julie Arvin (Harold) and Betty Poole. He was the devoted grandfather to Joseph, Brandon, Brian, Christian and Alexa. He was the brother to Frank and Gary Showalter, Jeanne Martin and Cindi Porter, and is preceded in death by his sister Verna and his brother Dale. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Angel.
