Steven was affectionately known as “Stevie” passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. He was 70 years old and lived in Fort Washington, Maryland his entire life. Stevie was born to the late Elizabeth “Pearl” Proctor. Stevie attended Prince George’s County Public Schools and graduated from Crossland High School. He began his career in the Prince George’s County School system shortly after graduating and retired in 2008. Throughout Stevie’s career, he received several volunteer and achievement awards. Stevie was an avid Washington Redskins football team fan. He loved all sports, so he made sure that his tv had all the sports channels on it. Stevie couldn’t wait to receive the latest Lakeside Collection Catalog so that he could order new gadgets for himself and stuff for his family. He took pride in his gadgets and put them to use. Stevie also liked doing crossword puzzles. Stevie was preceded in death by his loving mother Pearl, grandmother Sarah, aunts: Mary Helen (Preston), Mary Edna (Charles Henry), uncles: Raymond (Poncho), John Eugene (E), John Lewis (Chubby), a host of cousins and other relatives. Stevie leaves to mourn his loss: his loving Aunt Lucille, who is going to miss him tremendously and his Aunt Betty. His special friend Helen who helped him through the years. His cousin Sharon who helped him until her passing. After Sharon became incapacitated, his cousin Kim was honored to take care of him. Stevie had a special bond with his cousin Avery who used to visit him so that they could talk. He also enjoyed when Johnny gave him packs of chewing gum.
