Susie Katherine Jones

Susie Kathrine Jones of Ft. Washington, MD passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC on June 3, 1929 to Isaac Solomon Sessoms and Thelma Dell Macklin. Loving mother of Bernadette Beasley (Paul), Cheryl Brown (Marvin); Beloved grandmother of Paul, Jr. (Stephanie), Brian and Kristin (Ronnie). Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings Camillus Sessoms, Oliver Sessoms and Cynthia Brooks. Ms. Jones was a very devoted member of her church, AME. She worked tirelessly as a volunteer in all aspects of church life, preparing food and serving as the Women's Auxiliary President. She will be greatly missed by her church family as well. Family will receive guests on Sunday, September 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735 and on Monday, September 27 from 10:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m. with a service immediately following in the Lee Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00. Interment will be on Tuesday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery 2130 Woodlawn Drive, Baltimore, MD 21207. This service will be live-streamed.
