I go to bed and sleep in peace, because, Lord, only you keep me safe.
Psalm 4:8 ncv
On January 4, 2024, God reached down and took Tami’s hand and said it was time for her come to her resting place where she would be free of all pain. Rest in Peace, Tami!
Tami's life began in St. Albans, Vermont on February 11, 1968 as the youngest daughter of John and Rita Henry. She had an infectious smile that spread joy to all she met and was a beacon of light that will shine forever in our memories.
In 1973 Tami attended kindergarten in Mt. Hebo, Oregon, continuing her schooling in Novato, California, Okinawa, Japan and graduating from Thomas Stone High School in Maryland.
Tami served 10 years in the United States Army and, upon honorable
discharge, entered the Management Trainee Program in the restaurant business. In July 2003, Tami suffered a stroke, however,
she was determined to adjust her life to her new situation. For the last fifteen years, she served as an Election Judge in Prince George's County and was known for easy demeanor and helpful attitude. Tami was an Insurance Agent with Primerica.
Tami loved traveling with her family and one of her many enjoyments, in particular, was spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing board games, reading mystery novels and viewing Judge Judy's television program.
Tami leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, John and Rita, her
siblings, Sharon, Theresa (Terri), Sheila, and Johnathan, her uncles, Wayne Robinson and Robert Henry, her nieces and nephews, Nicole, Jauhara, Kristen, Saladin, Solomon, Mohammad, Kaleem and J.J., numerous great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
