Raymond Ted Fugate the beloved husband of Betty Ann Fugate. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 19, 2019. He is survived by his children Lisa Southerland (Tommy) of Greenwood, SC, Craig Fugate (Patricia) of Port Republic, MD, Julie Voigt (David) of Montross, VA. As well as his siblings Genevieve Collins, Reba Bowling, and Clyde Fugate. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Raymond is predeceased by his loving parents Fred and Georgia Fugate, his brother Arnold Fugate, and his daughter Rebecca Alexander. Raymond, mostly known by Ted grew up in the hills and hollers of Butterfly, Kentucky and graduated from Combs High School. After he graduated high school he immediately joined the Air Force. He worked as a clerical specialist for 22 years, he even worked on Air Force One, where he proudly served and met several US Presidents. During those years he was stationed at several destinations. Ted was a very loving father and grandfather as well as an all-around family man. After retiring from the Air Force, Ted was still very patriotic. He always made sure to stay up to date with the world by watching CNN and Fox News, two of his favorites. Ted enjoyed many things such as grilling, cooking, and enjoyed scuba diving. He took pride in the two businesses he and Betty owned. And helping with their nursery business, this included going to the farmers market with Betty. He now can rest easy with his beloved Sheltie Dusty. Who was greatly missed when he passed away.
