Thomas P. Maggio “Tommy” of Ft. Washington, MD passed on October 11, 2018 after a brief illness. Born on April 28, 1929 in Washington, DC to Catherine (Vereka) and Salvatore Maggio. After high school, Tommy enlisted into the US Navy and served from 1951 – 1954. He was honorably discharged. He was a member of the DAV, NRA, US Navy Memorial Foundation, American Legion, and Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He attended Camp Springs Community Church. Beloved husband of 55 years to Anita S. (Troia) Maggio. Survived by sister-in-law of Marie Eddlemon, her husband Gene Eddlemon (their children, Gene, Robin, Monte and Jeffrey). Sister-in-law Anna Troia; Brother-in-law Anthony Troia and his wife Alice Troia (their daughter Alexis Probst, her husband Donnie Probst Sr and their children Donnie Jr. and Kira (Kira’s children Michael, Makayla and Trinity). Survived by nephew, Steven E. Maggio, Jr. and his children Andrew Salvatore Maggio and Toni Maggio and niece, Stephanie Clements, husband Brian Clements and their children Andrew and Michael. Also survived by their very dear friend, Chester Saeborn. Tommy was preceded in death by his loving parents Salvatore and Catherine Maggio, his brother Stephen E. Maggio, Sr. and Uncle Charlie Maggio. In lieu of flowers, contribution to Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
