Thomas S. Tucker, “Frier” of Mechanicsville, MD died suddenly at his home on January 12, 2017 at the age of 76. Born in Washington, DC the son of Dorothy L. and Albert S. Tucker. Thomas met his future wife at Surrattsville High where they graduated and were soon married and had 56 years together. He started his career as a steamfitter with Local 602 in 1959 and retired after 50 years of service. He loved playing cards, drinking Miller Lite; Tuesday’s at the Moose also known as “Tucker Tuesday” and collecting and building trains, a dog lover – their house was never without dogs of all sizes; and he was famous for his crab cooking skill. He will be greatly missed by friend and family. Beloved husband of Norma “Nonie” Tucker; loving father of Thomas W. Tucker of Mechanicsville, MD, Joanna M. Clark (Jeffrey Clark) of Edinburg, VA, and Judith E. Griffin (William Weikert) of Mechanicsville, MD; brother of Linda Bradford and Robert Tucker of Orange City, FL; Grandfather (Pop) of Stephen Jones, Samantha Griffin and Alleigh Tucker; and devoted stand in dad of David Dahl of Suitland, MD. He was pre-deceased by his son, the late William “Billy” Tucker, grand-daughter, the late Dannie Griffin and bother, the late Albert Blair Tucker.
