Thomas Williams\n \n \n \n1933- 2011\n \nThomas (Big Willie) Williams\n \nPassed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home in Clinton, Maryland. Born on January 10, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the eldest child of the late Wellman Williams and Virginia Hurt Williams. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and the Vietnam War, in which he served three tours. Upon retirement from the United States Army, he became a United States Capitol Police Officer and served the department honorably for 20 years. He then worked for the United States Marshall Service for 12 years. \n \n \n \nHe leaves to celebrate his life; two sons Mr. Thomas Williams, Jr. and Mr. Keith Williams both of St. Louis, MO; two daughters Ms. Patrice Williams and Ms. Renee Williams of St. Louis, MO; four brothers, Mr. Carl Williams of Washington, DC; Mr. Warren Williams and Mr. David Williams both of St. Louis, MO; Mr. Kirk Williams of Las Vegas, NV, three sisters, Mrs. Doris Glasby and Ms. Delores Williams both of St. Louis, MO and Ms. Valerie Williams Burris of Washington, DC; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Millicent Williams; 11 nieces and 10 nephews, a host of grandchildren and great-grand-children, cousins, friends and many associates. His life companion Lily Clark and her sons Pernell and Derano Clark, daughter-in-law Shelia Clark, 3 granddaughters and 3 grandsons.\n \n \n \nFuneral Services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Union Temple Baptist Church, 1225 W Street, S.E. Washington, DC 20020. The Interment shall be held at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.\n \n \n \nThomas (Big Willie) Williams shall always be remembered for the service he has given to his country, the compassion he has shown to others, and the patience he has extended to the young.\n\n To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Thomas Williams please visit our Sympathy Store.
