"Tom" Thomas M. Luskey, Sr.

Thomas M. Luskey, Sr. “Tom”, actor, musician, and martial artist, died on March 21, 2016 at the age of 70. Born in Washington, DC, he is the beloved son of Ethel Wise Luskey of New Port Ritchey, FL and the late James Richard Luskey. Growing up in Washington, DC, Tom attended parochial schools, including St. Joseph’s, Immaculate Conception, and St. Peter’s. He attended Chamberlain High School before enlisting in the United States Navy where he served six years as a Fleet Sonar Technician. Before going into the Navy, Tom met Charlene Eastman and they fell in love and were married on September 7, 1963. Tom was a member of Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and appeared in many films and commercials. He loved playing and singing in various bands. He was active in martial arts and earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Tom was blessed with the gift of being a mentor to many young men through scouting, church and in the neighborhood. In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlene Eastman Luskey of Capitol Heights, MD; his devoted sons, Thomas M. Luskey, Jr. and his wife Angela of Silver Spring, MD and John Luskey and his wife Nyssamae of Bronx, NY; sister, Theresa Luskey Poe and brother, Paul Luskey, both of New Port Ritchey, FL; and his cherished grandchildren, James, Michael, Ava, Dylan and Naomi Luskey.
