Trudi Theresa Sanders

Trudi Theresa Sanders was born in Washington D.C. on June 9, 1962 to both the departed Clinzo B. and Theresa E. Sanders. She grew up in Washington DC and received her formal education in the city’s local public schools where she later graduated to pursue a career in accounting with the Department of State. After relocating to Maryland she met and had a relationship with the late James Oliver Smith from which she bore her only child. Her commitment to her career lasted 37 years. Trudi’s love for movies, animals, shopping, and playing card games with her friends was infamous. When a friend was in need she was never a stranger and would always offer help. Her humor, wit, and tough love were shared by both family and friends alike. Trudi Sanders passed away on January 31, 2017. She is survived by her son Joshua Sanders, her sister Thomasina Sharps, 3 nieces, 5 half siblings, along with a host of family and friends.
