Willa Janice Saunders of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on October 31, 2020, at Anne Arundel Hospital at the age of 80. She was born on January 29, 1940 in Washington DC and raised in Virginia. Before she retired, Janice was a home health aide/caregiver. She loved to read, play scrabble, do crossword puzzles and word searches, but most of all she loved her goodies. Janice always helped family and friends in need, opening her home to those who needed a place to stay, or lend an ear to a neighbor needing someone to talk to. She had been through a lifetime of heartache, but always remained strong. Janice was the daughter of the late Malcom and Florence Arnold. She was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother survived by her sister Wanda, daughter Verna and son Kelly and wife Kristin. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Lisa, Christina, Victoria, Erick and Nathaniel and 6 great-grandchildren Allahsia, Dylan, Kevin, Liliana, Isabel and Miko, and nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, MD on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 6pm – 8pm for visitation and Wednesday November 11, 2020 at 1pm she will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD. Please arrive at Lee Funeral Home parking lot at 1230pm for a procession to Resurrection and graveside service. NEW GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING VISITATION / SERVICES. - 50 to 75 people max at any given time in Funeral Home. - Limit visitation to 15 minutes in visitation room to allow for others to express their condolences. - Funeral Services in Chapel limited to 70 people with four (4) people per pew. - Masks and six-foot social distancing still applies.
