Wendell was a lifetime student; earned his PhD to be a college professor. Wendell was preceded in death by his sisters: Sandra (Susie) and Lari; brother, and cousin, Johnny (Edie); Wendell is survived by his brother Robert English; niece, Lavonne and son, Lechristian; nephews: Boomie and Bud; and close friend, Clyde Battles.
