Wendell A. Mason SR

On May 14, 2020, God sent one of his angels to escort one of his most precious servants Pastor Wendell A. Mason Sr., home to rest. As a flower in full bloom, he was chosen for GOD's eternal kingdom. Wendell was born on February 24, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Aron and Racheal Mason. Wendell's wife, Debbie Mason, brother, Martin Mason,and brother-in-law Roderick Proctor preceded him in death. Wendell was a kind and caring man who gave the best hugs and always greeted you with the biggest smile. Wendell was raised in a large loving family and was the fourth of ten children. Wendell met and married the love of his life, Debbie E. Mason at Mt. Calvary Catholic Church. This union was blessed with four sons, Wendell Jr., Devin, Kevin, and Tayron Mason. As a dedicated Christian he exemplified the love of God to all he knew. He instilled in everyone, that a true relationship with God was of upmost value. Throughout the years, Pastor Mason served God faithfully in many capacities, to include Elder, Deacon, and was formally ordained as Pastor October of 2019. Wendell participated in weekly bible study during his lunch breaks at work, mentored young men and women in his community, ministered comfort to the mourning, provided support to the elderly, prayed for the sick and shut-in, led and participated in countless Men's Fellowship in his church and community. He was a rare man of the world that had no enemies. He was loved by all and had the ability to draw the goodness out of any person. He never had a bad thing to say of anyone and praised all he met. He was a simple man and gave more than he received. Wendell's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, grandchildren,loved ones, and friends: Children: Wendell Mason Jr. (Alecia), Devin Mason, Kevin Mason (Latona), and Tayron (Dominique), Grandchildren: Denay Lane, Talia Lane, Wendell Mason III, Asia Mason, Devin Mason Jr., Keira Mason, Malayah Ortiz, Kory Foy, Kevin Mason Jr., Tayron Mason Jr., and King Mason, Siblings: Anthony Mason (Anita), Ann Mason, Karen Stanton (Paul), Sandra Ginyard (Larry), Vernet Mason (Jeff), Anita Mason, Iris Abney (Louis), Kristal Bond (Wilbur), In-Laws: Elizabeth Bowman (Paul), Margaret Proctor, Ronnette Williams (Larney), Michelle Proctor, Richard Proctor, Dale Proctor and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
