Willard LeRoy Goldsmith Jr.

November 10, 1919 — September 27, 2016

Willard LeRoy Goldsmith, Jr., 96, of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on September 27, 2016 at his Residence. Willard was born in Washington D.C. on November 10, 1919 to the late Willard LeRoy Goldsmith, Sr., and Colie Ann Lipscomb. Willard served in the United States Army during WWII from 1943 until 1946 and being honorably discharged as a Technician Fifth Grade. Willard enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins, Crossword Puzzles, and was a member of the American Legion Post 206. Willard is predeceased by his Parents, and two Sisters. He is survived by his Wife, Ann Marie. Sons, Willard Goldsmith, III (Janice), Francis E. Goldsmith (Kathy). Daughter, JoAnn Day. Sister, Clara Hayden. 13 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren. A viewing will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Lee Funeral Home. 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20772. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11 am at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Upper Marlboro, MD. Interment will be at a later date at Cheltenham Veteran Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made too the American Cancer Society. P.O.
